Here it is! Finally I was able to upload my video. (No power.. Boooooo.) Luckily, once I got on campus I was able to finish it here. I think my video turned out quite well. I made sure this time I managed to reach the five minute minimum requirement, and I also tried to make sure that my video had a more clear beginning, middle, and end. I tried to use written slides that explain exactly where I was going with it. The only flaw that I think my movie may have is that the topic was a bit too broad. I really wanted to talk about how close the student body at Southern is compared to how people see it. To get the point across I wanted to discuss all of the opportunities and advantages SCSU gives to get involved, make friends, and how they keep the students and faculty close together. Ultimately I may have covered too much, but I believe that it all tied together when considering the topic. To improve it I think I could have taken out a few of the topics I covered, and instead went into further detail on what I left in the movie. I also think it would have been nice to insert some actual video footage to break up the whole “text slide – picture slide- repeat” process. I tried to do this a little by adding in quotes I took from some of my friends who are students here. I also tried to add in pictures that went along with each topic to show what I meant. Overall, I think the final product is pretty good. I made sure that the slides were left up long enough for the viewers to read everything. In my last movie, that was a problem that I had as well.
