I
think motivation is one of the most important things a person should have. When
you think of it, half of the things you do on a daily basis, you probably
wouldn’t if there was something motivating you to do so. Whatever that reason
of motivation may be, it all works the same way. For example some of us are
here at school everyday because we have a degree ahead of us that motivates us
to go, or some of us go to work everyday because we know if we do we will get
paid for our time. The Mindset book does a good job at keeping an easy, but
interesting read. I think that the importance of motivation is often way
overlooked. If you don’t keep something in the back of your mind to work
towards, then it would seem like common sense to stop working. From an early age
you’re taught to do something, and get a reward. Even animals pick up the
concept. The treats given are what motivate them to do the trick. Motivation
takes a lot of self-discipline. I think they both go hand in hand. You have to
train your mind to focus, and stick to something. Motivations can be different
for everyone. As discussed in class, it can be internal factors, external
factors, or whatever. It truly makes no difference how a person looks at it. I
believe that when starting in college, it’s almost like a skill that new students
have to master. Motivation is a broad subject that can be twisted differently
to fit everyone’s lives. As long as you have it, then who’s going to stop you?
Keep your head in the game!
